is typical of this variety of opal

The gem appears included when observed with a 10-magnifying glass

dark in color and with strong pleochroism in orange-brown

in some cases a valid alternative to jade

Ciottolo in Argento con Granato Rodolite Tondo sfere Semi-transparent gem with a milkyI called them "Pebbles" because of their soft, smooth and irregular shapes, which remind us of the stones found in rivers or at the sea, smoothed by the sand and the waves :) "Pebble" in silver with a precious stone. The jewel is a lost wax casting, handmade by me in Italy, in Rome; it is delivered in a gift box finished with organic ribbon and sealing wax. Dimensions: 1 x 0. 5 cm approx., chain length 45 cm.
